The 49th Annual General Meeting cum Scientific Seminar was held on 17th January 2025 at the Novotel Century Hong Kong Hotel. It was well attended by over 70 members and non-members, who were enthralled by the lively lecture given by Dr. Jonpaul Zee, Honorary Consultant and Specialist in Infectious Diseases, Hong Kong Sanatorium & Hospital, on “The role of modern microbiology laboratory in combating infection”.
Members at the AGM also voted unanimously to extend the Executive Committee to two-year terms from 2025 onwards to alleviate the amount of work required to prepare for each election cycle. The 2025-2027 Executive Committee election voting results are as follows:
